New Ministry Projects

We have had an exciting few weeks where we have been able to dream big and propose new ministry ideas. There were several amazing ministry projects proposed, and on Sunday, March 6 we discussed and voted on which ministries God is leading us to do now. Thanks to the generosity of Betty Ann Potter, we will be able to begin new and exciting ministries. Thank you to all who put in countless hours of creating the procedures and all the materials needed for this process. The following ministry proposals will be funded:

  • Adult Prayer Retreat
  • Alternative Worship Service
  • CHBC Neighborhood Picnic/Folk Music Concert
  • CHBC Watermelon booth at Frankfort Avenue July 4th Picnic
  • CHOICES housing renovation project contribution
  • Crescent Hill Concert/Worship Series
  • Extend fulltime office staff positions through 12/31/11
  • Karen and Chin weekly translation services ‐ written announcements
  • New pictorial membership directory produced in‐house
  • Passport Scholarships ($4,000 for kids, $6,000 for students)
  • Potter Housing Corporation ‐ affordable housing
  • Small Group Fellowship Dinners
  • Spirit of Generosity Fund
  • Spirit through the Gym Project contribution
  • Summer International Academic Academy support
  • Telling Our Story ‐ communication/publicity in local media
  • UCHM walk‐in refrigerator repair/replacement
  • Update church roll in‐house
  • Written expressions of concern and celebration

Can we put checkmarks, or something, that indicates a project has been completed? We don't always know what others are doing!
